Long Term Futures is looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support within a SEND secondary school environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their experience and make a meaningful impact supporting young people.

About the Role
Working alongside teachers, the SENCo, and wider support staff, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Providing in-class and out-of-class support to students
* Supporting the delivery of engaging and structured lessons across Key Stages
* Setting and reinforcing clear expectations tailored to individual student needs
* Using positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement
* Tracking and reporting on student progress and behaviour to relevant staff
* Assisting students outside of lessons to help them regulate before returning to class
* Promoting independence, confidence, and positive peer interactions
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Previous experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEND
* Calm, confident, and able to manage challenging situations effectively
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust while maintaining boundaries
* Reliable and committed to a long-term role - consistency is crucial
* Resilient, proactive, and adaptable in a SEND setting
