Key Skills And Abilities
* Deliver effective day‑to‑day external and internal communications, including press releases and social media management.
* Translate complex concepts into plain English with excellent literacy and attention to detail.
* Act as a point of contact for media enquiries, managing both proactive and reactive media activity.
* Persuade and influence managers and elected members toward appropriate courses of action regarding press responses.
* Design visual content such as posters and digital images to support internal campaigns.
* Ensure all communications activity aligns with corporate branding and accessibility guidelines.
Experience
* Previous practical experience working within a specialist communications environment is essential.
* Experience managing social media accounts, including content curation and analysis.
* Experience in handling media enquiries and developing relationships with journalists.
Any Other Desirable Experience
* Experience in monitoring media coverage and using data to evaluate the effectiveness of messages.
* Experience in commissioning design services and managing associated financial transactions.
Qualifications
* Applicants should ideally hold a qualification in a relevant specialism.
