We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Pastoral Leader, working alongside our Senior Leadership Team and Head of Year to ensure every student feels supported, included, and able to thrive. In this role, you will play a key part in improving student attendance and engagement, providing targeted support for individuals, and building positive relationships that foster a strong sense of belonging and community. You will work closely with families, external agencies, and staff to ensure students receive the right academic, emotional, and social support to succeed. Hours are 37hrs per week, term-time only.
As a role model, you will set high expectations while championing equality and inclusion, ensuring all students feel valued and empowered. From break and lunchtime supervision to administration and liaison with external agencies, you will help create a safe and supportive school environment where every child can flourish. We Would Love To Hear From You If You
Have GCSEs in Maths and English graded C or above (or equivalent qualifications/grades)
Flexible, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development.
Ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and external agencies while maintaining discretion, patience, and professionalism
A willingness to attend courses as required to enhance the knowledge, understanding and skills to improve the level and quality of support given to students

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Twynham School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
