Wanta Thome is entering our 4th season as a partner with the Minnesota Wind Chill. We chose this partnership because of the "Spirit of the Game" in ultimate frisbee—integrity, teamwork, self‑officiating, and respect—aligns strongly with our work fighting for fairness and justice in the workplace. The Wind Chill's family‑friendly fan base also gives us a meaningful way to connect with kids and parents around values like community, honesty, and playing fair.
Last year, our partnership focused on a fan activation where we gave 500 Chilly bobbleheads to the first fans in attendance at our featured game. Each bobblehead had a Wanta Thome–branded plate and came in a co‑branded box with a QR code. That QR code linked to a landing page featuring information about Chilly (the Wind Chill mascot), the story of our partnership ("Where the Spirit of the Game Meets the Fight for Justice"), our community initiatives (like Project Backpack and scholarships), and a downloadable Chilly Activity Book.
This year, our role is expanding: Wanta Thome is the official sponsor of the new Chilly Kids Club. The Chilly Kids Club is designed to deepen engagement with young fans. The team plans to open a pre‑season practice so kids can watch a Wind Chill practice, join in games and activities, and even scrimmage each other. Kids will also receive a bag of co‑branded swag that includes the 2025 version of the Chilly Activity Book.
We need help updating and elevating this activity book for the upcoming season. Our intent is to expand the number of pages, refresh the visuals, and add more activities while keeping everything fun, accessible, and clearly connected to themes of fairness, teamwork, integrity, and community. The book currently includes a story about Chilly teaming up with our firm mascot, Karma the Chameleon, to overcome challenges together, along with activities like word searches, mazes, image searches, and coloring pages.
For 2026, we'd like a freelancer to help us enhance the story and illustrations of Chilly and Karma, create additional kid‑friendly activity pages (for roughly ages 6–12), and make the overall design more engaging and polished. Here is a summary of what we are looking for in this years book:
Refresh the existing story and illustrations of Chilly and our firm mascot, Karma the Chameleon, as they team up to solve challenges with "relentless excellence" and teamwork
Add more activity pages (word searches, mazes, puzzles, connect‑the‑dots, spot‑the‑difference, etc.)
Potentially introduce new interactive ideas such as:
A sticker page (Chilly, Karma, Wind Chill, ultimate frisbee, and Wanta Thome themes); A simple season‑long scavenger hunt kids can follow at games or at home; Reflection prompts that empower kids to think about fairness, helping others, and working as a team.
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
