Do you enjoy working in a fast pace environment while performing physical work? Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses is looking for an energetic, hard-working individual to work in their warehouse Furniture Pulling & Customer Pick-Up Department. This position is key to ensure Cardi's WOW customer satisfaction by ensuring furniture is pulled correctly and customer pick-ups are processed with the highest level of customer service.
PAY RATE: $19.00 /HR
Responsibilities
* Pulls merchandise from inventory for customer orders being picked up by the customer or being delivered to the customers’ homes in an orderly, accurate, timely and safe manner.
* Loading of Furniture and accessories in customer vehicles.
* Scans, picks, pulls and re-wraps and puts away product utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages.
* Operates manual and mechanical equipment, such as dollies and/or hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner to move or hoist product to proper area/location.
* Complies with all applicable company health, safety and quality standards and policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
* Commitment to Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses safety policies and procedures.
* Models company image and culture through positive attitude, spirit of cooperation, appearance and respect for company policies and procedures on every aspect of role functions.
* Perform other functions as needed and required
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no management / supervisory responsibilities.
Required Skills
Requirements
* Safely lift furniture merchandise while elevate on warehouse equipment at heights of 30-40 feet above the ground.
* Lift, move, push and pull furniture up to and in excess of 110 pounds.
* Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout the warehouse over an 8-12 hour work day.
* Ability to work well with others and function in a team environment.
* Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders to picking labels.
* Ability to maintain emotional composure in a warehouse setting with customers, peers and management.

Education/Certification/Licensure:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license required, stock picker certification helpful but not required since will train and certify in house.
Prior related experience and or training preferred but not required.
