We have an exciting opportunity available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are seeking an experienced Data Modeller to join their team on a long-term project.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
As a Data Modeller, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering data models to support enterprise-level solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality data design, governance, and documentation across multiple domains.
* Design, develop, and implement data models for enterprise environments.
* Work with relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modelling approaches.
* Apply domain-driven design and data mesh concepts to data product development.
* Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including metadata management and data lineage.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
* Produce clear documentation and communicate data design concepts effectively to stakeholders.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Proven experience in data modelling within large-scale enterprise environments.
* Proficiency with data modelling tools such as Erwin or dbt.
* Strong understanding of data product concepts, including domain-driven design and data mesh.
* Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Databricks).
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
* Knowledge of data governance practices, metadata management, and data lineage.
* Strong communication and documentation skills.
* Familiarity with modern data engineering practices.
* Experience working in consultancy or large transformation programmes.
