A. The Role:
A leading global strategic PR & Integrated Marketing Communications agency is currently seeking a talented Managing Director to manage and develop several of their key global accounts based out of South Korea. The award-winning firm has a strong reputation in PR and Integrated communications advisory with a leading global presence.
The role will focus on growing the agency’s key technology accounts while providing them with cutting-edge integrated communications advice and solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience driving communications practices within Technology, and/ or Corporate Affairs etc.
As the role focuses on tech, the applicant should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with a commercial mindset, knowing how to hunt “new business” and “farm” existing clients. They should be well versed with the fast changing tech environment and provide counsel to clients in anticipation of advancements, critical turning points and opportunities.
B. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead P&L responsibilities and advance the agency’s Public Relations offering alongside it’s other advisory practices
* Lead client development and new business initiatives for listed and non-listed companies across PR, social, and thought leadership
* Serve as day-to-day contact for some of the agency’s largest clients in local and regional markets
* Manage team leads on client projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables across South Korea and the region
* Advise clients on critical issues, brand reputation and challenging financial situations
* Create innovative communication strategies and plans to drive client business growth
* Be a strong advocate for regional technology advances through conferences, trade associations etc
* Develop and manage the firm’s media relations and media database
C. About the Candidate:
* University degree in Public Relations, Media Studies & Communications
* Experience working with clients in financial services and technology is a MUST.
* Fluent in the Korean language
* Minimum 10-15 + years of experience in corporate public relations, or investor relations
* Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and organisational skills
* Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think and write creatively and strategically
* Proficiency in written and spoken ENGLISH and KOREAN is a must as this role has both global and regional elements.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and creative spirit
