Description The Service & Team: As a Targeted Youth Support Worker, you will be part of the Together for Families Directorate, this is an exciting role within one of the new Family Help Teams! The Role: The role includes meeting children and families that are in need of extra support, you will be required to write assessments and deliver direct work with young people and families. Access to training & support and an induction. As a TYSW (Targeted Youth Support Worker) you will primarily be working with teenagers and so a good understanding of adolescent development and the issues facing young people today would be essential. This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies. This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check. Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, core hours 08.45 - 17.15. Flexible working options are available in this role. Hybrid working to include minimum 2 office days per week. What you’ll need to succeed: Targeted Youth Support Workers JNC Qualification at level 2,3,4 or equivalent related qualifications and experience of working with young people. Provide evidence of support to vulnerable young people in 1:1 and group work settings and proven track record of a good standard of practical knowledge, experience and skills in working with children and young people and their families Please read the role profile for the full details of this role attached below in this advert What you’ll get in return: Regular Supervision - every two weeks.
