Vehicle Technician required in Avonmouth, Bristol
1. Starting salary of £36,720 per annum with various bonuses, providing a potential annual earnings of £42,660.
2. 42.5-hour week, Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:30pm and 1-in-4 Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm (paid as overtime).

Our client, the UK's largest car/light commercial vehicle rental provider, is looking to recruit a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to join their centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working as part of a team of Vehicle Technicians, as a Vehicle Technician, you shall use your technical knowledge to work on the electrical and mechanical systems for a range of cars and light commercial vehicles. You will use the diagnostic equipment to get to the root cause of faults, carry out technical maintenance, repair or replace parts, perform preventive maintenance and MOT preparation.
To be eligible, you will ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance of Avonmouth and be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum, with ideally several years of practical experience alongside your qualification. A UK driving license with minimal points is also essential. Overall, you will need to be a team player, be capable of working to the standards of the business, have an organised and methodical approach to your workload with a high quality of workmanship, and be comfortable working in a busy workshop environment.
