We're looking for a General Manager for the White Horse in Hascombe, situated 15 minutes from Guildford - a picturesque pub set in the verdant village of Hascombe within the Surrey Hills. This inviting local favourite bustles with a community village pub atmosphere, and is all about a warm welcome, hearty food and a great pint of ale.
Experience running a fresh-food business is essential, as the pub has a fantastic reputation for creating delicious dishes inspired by its surroundings using locally sourced produce- even dry aging its own meat in-house! You'll be guest-centric, passionate about service and keen to be the face of a community business. We're looking for someone who is at ease building relationships with their neighbours to ensure that the White Horse continues to stay at the beating heart of village life.
Running a Pub for Young's:
We believe pubs should be differentiated and individual and
so we are looking for entrepreneurial General Managers to put their own stamp
on our businesses. We're all about freedom within a framework - you decide what
goes on the food menu - and that doesn't mean picking from a bank of recipes!
You tailor your offer to your guests and grow the business in line with your
business vision! You decide what events and sales driving to do, what the
team uniform is, and look after all your own recruitment and marketing.
