Reed are pleased to be working with an established accounting firm who are seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in the medical sector, including GP practices, medical partnerships, and private medical practices.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Prepare and finalise management and annual accounts, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
* Oversee and support junior staff on simpler assignments, ensuring high standards and aiding in their development.
* Handle complex assignments and ensure all relevant files are prepared for manager or director review.
* Maintain awareness of NHS pension schemes, GMS contracts, and NHS funding streams.
* Manage complex business tax computations, including corporation tax.
* Prepare personal tax returns and provide proactive tax advice within legislative frameworks.
* Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients through professional communication and understanding their needs.
* Ensure compliance with all systems, processes, and procedures.
