The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team, other quantity surveyors, and the Subcontracts Manager across the project. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and managing contracts, managing the bill of quantities related to construction elements, discussing, assessing, and agreeing on stage payments with subcontractors, and evaluating and managing additional work costs.
The scope involves building access roads and infrastructure to facilitate the inspection, repair, and utilization of pre-installed ducts for installing 37km of onshore cable from the landfall to the converter station.
Essentials:
* Experience in an engineering QS role within construction, power, or HVDC cabling
* Proficient in contract review within construction
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar setting
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
* Experience with opening and reinstating joint pits, cable pulling, etc., performed by subcontractors
* Based in Ipswich or willing to travel to maintain site presence
