Position: Year 1 Teacher Location: Barnet Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Phase: Key Stage 1 (Year 1) Year 1 Teaching Role in a Faith School A welcoming Faith School in Barnet is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and nurturing Year 1 Teacher to join its successful primary team from September. About the Role You will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons across the primary curriculum while ensuring pupils make strong progress academically and personally. The role will involve supporting pupils as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1, helping them develop independence, resilience, and key foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and phonics. You will create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes high expectations, positive behaviour, and a love of learning. Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents, you will ensure that every pupil receives the support and challenge they need to thrive.
