Connect Appointments are recruiting a Senior Maintenance Electrician to join our manufacturing client within the Dundee and Angus area.
This is a full-time permanent position, working either a three or four shift rotation; with a salary of £40,000 (three shift) or £43,000 (four shift) per annum.
Three shifts across days, backs and nights; paid annually at £40,000 per year.
Week 1: Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm (Back Shift 1)
Week 2: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm (Day Shift 1)
Week 3: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm (Day Shift 2)
Week 4: Monday to Friday, 4pm to 12am (Back Shift 2)
Week 5: Sunday to Thursday, 12am to 8am (Night Shift)There will be an on-call arrangement for this shift pattern between midnight on Friday to midnight on Sunday - this will be covered by the employee working Week 4 (back shift 2) - so you will be on call one weekend in every five.
Four shifts working 4-on 4-off across days and nights; paid annually at £43,000 per annum.
X2 days, working 8am to 8pm
X2 nights, working 8pm to 8amWorking as a Senior Maintenance Electrician, your duties will include:
Liaison with shift engineers to ensure work is done
Organising work to be done on a shift-by-shift basis - prioritising where required
Installation of plant and machinery
Conducting preventative maintenance work
Dealing with breakdowns (troubleshooting, repairing, reporting)
Carrying out portable appliance testing
Ensuring Health & Safety at all costsTo be successful in this Senior Maintenance Electrician role, you'll be a time served engineer (either mechanical or electrical) and educated to a HNC/C&G level. Combined with the following skills, traits and experiences:
Have additional training in opposite discipline (mechanical or electrical)
Have the ability to work using your own initiative
Have working knowledge of Electrical Regulations
