Repairs Supervisor

Location: Dover

Full Time Permanent

Salary up to £40,561.00 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)

About the role:

We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced repairs Supervisor to lead our team as part of a social housing contract in Dover. This is a dynamic, leadership role where you’ll oversee the delivery of repairs across tenanted properties. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role with a strong pipeline of work and a growing presence in the area. You’ll play a key part in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for residents, making a real impact in the community.

Duties:

1. Supervise day-to-day delivery of maintenance works across tenanted properties
2. Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards
3. Conduct occasional site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction
4. Allocate resources and operatives effectively to meet service targets and contractual obligations
5. Manage work schedules and priorities to minimise disruption to surrounding residents
6. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, COSHH, and company procedures and awaab’s law
7. Carry out quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented where necessary
8. Lead and support a team of operatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management
9. Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities for team members
10. Enforce HR policies including attendance, conduct, and grievance procedures
11. Monitor and maintain company assets including vehicles, tools, PPE, and van stock
12. Oversee material usage and procurement to ensure cost-effective operations
13. Use system reports to track performance, resource deployment, and asset condition
14. Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate service delivery
15. Will complete job costing and billing
16. Effective programming of works to ensure that strict contract deadlines are met
17. Support contract mobilisation, compliance audits, and service improvement initiatives
18. Assist with budget control, forecasting, and identifying operational efficiencies
19. Provide cover for other supervisors during absence or peak periods
20. Attend toolbox talks, training sessions, and formal company meetings
21. You will be on the OOH call out rota as part of your duties 1-8weeks
22. Ensure all activities reflect company values and maintain a professional image at all times

Role Criteria:

23. Previous experience in a trade position to include building or experience in a repairs supervisor role.
24. Proven track record of managing, monitoring, recording, and reporting Health & Safety and compliance activities
25. Full, valid UK driving licence
26. Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH
27. Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates
28. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
29. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
30. Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence
31. Problem-solving mindset with a results-driven approach
32. Strong planning and organisational abilities
33. Decisive decision-making under pressure
34. Ability to negotiate and influence across teams and stakeholders
35. IT literate with confident oral and written communication skills
