We are hiring for our client, a successful and growing manufacturing business in Newry, who are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Supervisor to lead their engineering function. This Maintenance Supervisor job offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a leadership role, or for an established Maintenance Supervisor seeking a new challenge. The successful Maintenance Supervisor will manage a team of engineers, drive maintenance performance, and help ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing operations. The Role

* Lead, motivate and develop a team of maintenance engineers
* Coordinate planned preventative maintenance activities
* Manage reactive maintenance and minimise production downtime
* Support continuous improvement and engineering projects
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
* Monitor maintenance KPIs and drive performance improvements
* Work closely with production teams to maximise plant efficiency
* Support training and development within the engineering team


The Person

* Previous experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment
* Experience leading or supervising engineering teams
* Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance background
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and leadership abilities
* Relevant engineering qualification desirable
