Compensation: GBP 34,500 / year
Flexibility: This is a hybrid role, where you can work from home and one of our UK offices; we encourage our early career people to spend time around other people where possible. This role is located in our Bath BMT Office. Depending on project needs you will be expected to travel to customer sites and BMT offices from time to time.
Security: This role will require Security Clearance. To be eligible you must be a British-born sole national and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

About The Role
We are looking for Graduates to join our Marine Engineering team as part of BMT's UK & Europe Region. As a graduate, you can expect to receive training from our experienced employees and we will support you with your professional journey towards achieving Chartered Engineer status.
We are looking for graduates who have the following:
* A relevant degree such as Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
* An interest to work within the Maritime domain
* Excellent communication and team-building skills
* Pride in their work and a desire to deliver a first-class service to our clients
* The determination to further their career and gain Chartered Engineer status
Working as a Marine Engineer in this role will provide you the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of projects and research across both Defence and Commercial domains covering Ships, submarines and the wider marine engineering market. You will influence your training and project experience, with the aim of personal and professional growth at BMT.
As a graduate, you will receive training from our experienced Engineers who are keen to support your journey towards professional qualification and publication where appropriate. We are using our knowledge to drive transformative, sustainable designs and solutions worldwide. We seek individuals who are passionate about addressing global challenges and are proactive in integrating sustainable practices into their role.
Graduate Programme
As a BMT graduate, you will be part of a 2-year development programme that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience to propel your career to the next level. If chartership is a route you are interested in, we will support you by paying membership fees and provide a chartership mentor to assist your application.
What We Are Looking For / About You
We are looking for pro-active, keen and committed graduate engineers to join our team of Marine Engineers who work across a range of technical projects, helping solve our customers' problems and delivering innovative, bespoke solutions. You will work with clients to develop designs for new builds and existing vessels (Ships and Submarines) and support in-service requirements, while embracing new and emergent technologies.
We welcome graduates with an interest in maritime platforms. While a marine-focused degree is helpful, we are open to mechanical and electrical backgrounds. We are especially keen to hear from candidates studying Electrical or Electro-Mechanical degrees, including Electrical Power Generation and Distribution, AC/DC architectures, and Complex Control Systems. If you lack certain skills, we value problem-solving ability, adaptability and a willingness to learn. We will support your development and potential.
