About the Role Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a motivated and creative Art & Design Technology Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons within a supportive department. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach both Art and Design Technology, encouraging creativity, technical ability, and confidence in learners of varying abilities. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Design Technology in line with the national curriculum Plan, prepare and assess students' work effectively to support progress and attainment Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports behaviour for learning Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to pupils, staff, and parents The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative subjects Excellent classroom management skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children A proactive and adaptable approach to teac...
