Key Responsibilities
* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques.
* Clean and sanitise food prep surfaces, storage areas, and equipment following hygiene standards.
* Load/unload dishwashers.
* Clean the entire kitchen after closing to prepare for the next day.
* Empty waste bins and maintain cleanliness in kitchen and storage areas.
* Support the kitchen team by taking deliveries and stocking supplies.
* Follow instructions from kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
* Assist in basic food prep such as cutting, peeling, and washing ingredients.
* Help prep cooks and other staff as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storage, refrigerators, and freezers.
* Handle and dispose of food waste properly, following waste management guidelines.
* Follow recycling and composting practices.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals.
* Report safety hazards, accidents, or equipment issues immediately.
* Practice good personal hygiene, including handwashing and wearing protective gear.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Excellent communication skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail, well-organized, capable of multitasking.
* Proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgment.
