We have a permanent Catering Assistant opportunity to join our team based at Edgware Community Hospital, Edgware.
Key details:
1. 37.5 hours per week
2. Monday to Sunday, working on a 7‑week rota, 5 days out of 7
3. Shifts will be either 07:00–15:00 or 10:30–18:30
4. £29,338.00 per annum
5. DBS check required
Key Responsibilities
The Catering Assistant supports the delivery of a safe, high‑quality food and beverage service in line with health and safety requirements, food hygiene legislation, PLACE standards, and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Preparing and serving food and beverages in line with menus and portion control guidelines
7. Maintaining food hygiene standards, including carrying out temperature checks
8. Cleaning catering, kitchen, and dining areas using a “clean as you go” approach
9. Receiving, storing, and rotating stock and deliveries correctly
10. Operating catering equipment safely and reporting any faults
11. Working flexibly and cooperatively as part of the catering team
Qualifications:
12. Level 2 Food Hygiene (preferred)
