Following new opportunities to grow our estate management portfolios, we are looking for a qualified chartered surveyor to join our friendly and ambitious rural team based in the Harrogate, working alongside a team of property professionals. Our offices handle the full range of rural surveying, including estate management, property agency, valuations, rural grant applications, compensation, landlord and tenant matters and delivering national framework contracts, across North Yotkshire.

Main tasks:

1. Day to day professional advice to a mixed portfolio of estate and land-owning clients.
2. Being responsible and first point of contact for a number of existing clients. Managing those clients to service existing and future professional needs. Consistently providing sound and reasoned advice.
3. The portfolio of work will cover management of rural estates and property portfolios, providing strategic advice to farm and estate clients, drafting agreements, doing deals, generally dealing with a wide range of jobs centred around providing property advice to our clients.
4. Working with the Partners to expand the team by identifying and developing viable business development opportunities.
5. Working closely with other specialist teams including planning and development, valuation, energy and infrastructure, agency and natural capital to deliver and develop new fee opportunities from existing and new clients.
6. Actively assist in the development and implementation of efficient, ‘best practice’ internal systems and processes optimising IT and other resources.
7. Implement policy as required and ensure legal, professional, and corporate compliance on all work carried out.
8. Assisting with pitch reporting and presentations.

What will it take to be successful?

You will be a chartered surveyor who has a successful track record in delivering excellent rural professional and estate management services and experience in developing relationships with existing and potential clients. We are looking for enthusiasm, integrity and a can-do attitude; someone who has the ability to manage multiple projects and deal with a variety of work. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where you will need to be flexible in your approach and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team. You will be prepared to participate in managing and developing other team members, while actively seeking out continuous self-development.
