Major Recruitment is working with a well‑established UK signage and fabrication specialist with over 40 years' experience in the industry. We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join their busy and friendly assembly department.
This is a hands‑on role where you will help produce and assemble high‑quality signage products, from structural components and face panels to brackets and LED lighting systems. Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is beneficial, but full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble signage products including structural components, face panels, brackets, and LED lighting systems.
Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications accurately.
Safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
Assist with fitting and basic wiring of LED lighting where required.
Ensure all completed signage meets quality and finish standards before dispatch.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times.What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
Strong practical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work overtime when required and to adapt to the rotating shift pattern (7:00 am-3:30 pm one week, 11:00 am-7:30 pm the next, with Fridays always 7:00 am-3:30 pm).
Positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality.
