THE EMPLOYER IS: DESSERTCO LTD We’re looking for a motivated and friendly individual to join our team through the JobStart Scheme. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional bakery environment, helping to prepare and present our signature desserts while learning key food production skills. Full training will be provided - no previous bakery experience required, just enthusiasm and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing and baking brownies, cookies, traybakes, and other desserts.
* Measure, mix, and portion ingredients under supervision.
* Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and weighing scales safely.
* Package, label, and display finished products ready for sale.
* Keep the bakery area clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards.
* Support stock management and ingredient rotation (FIFO).

* Interested in baking, food, or hospitality.
* Reliable and able to follow instructions carefully.
* Takes pride in quality and presentation.
* Eager to learn new skills in a supportive team environment.
