Are you a newly qualified solicitor looking to build your career in Court of Protection work within a supportive and well-regarded firm?
We are working with a respected solicitors’ practice in Southeast London that is expanding its specialist Court of Protection team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to develop their expertise in a collaborative environment, handling meaningful and rewarding work from the outset.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision, supporting vulnerable clients and their families while developing your technical knowledge and confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a caseload of Court of Protection matters with supervision
* Supporting clients who lack capacity and liaising with families, carers, local authorities, and external agencies
* Preparing applications, deputyship documentation, and annual account reports
* Assisting senior solicitors on more complex and high-value matters
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
About You
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual eager to grow within this specialist area of law.
You will have:
* Newly qualified solicitor status (or due to qualify shortly)
* Training seat or experience in Court of Protection, private client, or related areas
* A good understanding of capacity law and deputyship processes
* Strong communication skills with a sensitive and client-focused approach
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
