TP Tutors is looking for passionate and dedicated English Tutors to provide high-quality, personalised tuition across Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners, boost their confidence, and help them achieve success in English.
About the Role
You will deliver tailored one-to-one and small-group tuition in English to learners in homes, schools, or local community venues. Lessons will be designed to meet each student’s individual needs—focusing on reading, writing, comprehension, communication, and exam preparation where required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective English tuition (KS2–KS4, including GCSE)
* Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities
* Break down complex topics to build understanding and confidence
* Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback after each session
* Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
* Experience teaching or tutoring English (SEND/SEMH experience desirable)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Current safeguarding training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
