Business Coordinator and Analyst

Job Summary
The post holder will provide high-quality, professional business coordination and analytical support to the Deputy Director of Finance, contributing to the effective running of the Operational Finance function. The role is pivotal in supporting the coordination of Finance team activities, ensuring the smooth delivery of core business objectives. The post holder will undertake detailed analysis and interpretation of complex financial and non-financial information, support transaction processing, management accounting and financial accounting functions, and produce accurate, timely reports and insights to inform decision-making across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Providing high-level coordination and administrative support to the Deputy Director of Finance.
* Undertaking detailed analysis and interpretation of complex financial and non-financial data, producing accurate and timely reports to support decision‑making.
* Supporting and contributing to management accounting, financial accounting and transaction processing activities as required.
* Planning, coordinating and supporting projects, including developing project plans, monitoring progress and ensuring delivery against agreed timelines.
* Coordinating the production and quality assurance of reports for internal and external stakeholders, including board‑level documentation.
* Building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Supporting the management of the Finance team’s workload, helping to prioritise tasks and ensure key deadlines and objectives are met.
* Acting as a coordinator for specific functional areas, such as elements of the risk register, recruitment processes and data collection systems.
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with information governance, data protection and records management standards.
* Taking responsibility for defined workstreams and projects.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a related subject.
* NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent experience.
* Experience managing a workload unsupervised for prolonged periods.
* Experience in team administration.
* Highly numerate with ability to develop and interpret spreadsheets and other numerical data.
* Programme Management qualification, training or experience (desirable).
* Ability to pull together comprehensive draft reports, data and letters (desirable).
Eligibility
This role is only open to current employees of Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, and Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board. Applications from outside these organisations will not be considered.
Salary and Contract
Band 5: £32,073 – £39,043 per annum.
Contract: Permanent full‑time, flexible working, home or remote.
