We are currently seeking a dedicated and adaptable Secondary School Design & Technology Teacher who is also confident in providing General Cover, to join one of our partner secondary schools in Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset.
This is a full-time position, working five days per week, starting ASAP. The role is initially offered as a long-term temporary placement running until Easter, with a strong possibility of extension through to the end of the academic year for the right candidate. This opportunity would suit a teacher who enjoys variety in their working week and is confident stepping into different classroom environments while maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour.
The successful candidate will primarily support the school’s Design & Technology provision, alongside delivering General Cover where required. A background or qualification in Food Technology would be welcomed, though this is not essential. You will be expected to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, follow school policies, and demonstrate strong behaviour management skills to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a short interview and deliver a supervised lesson, allowing both the school and the candidate to ensure a good fit.
