Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the Stores Operative is responsible for managing the inventory and supplies. This role ensures that all materials and equipment are stored safely, accurately, and efficiently, supporting the smooth operation of the company. Hours of work would be 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: * Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory. Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy. * Receiving and Dispatching: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies. Prepare and dispatch orders as required. * Storage and Organisation: Ensure that all materials are stored in an organised manner, adhering to safety and environmental regulations. Implement and maintain an efficient storage system. * Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the condition of storage equipment and report any issues. Ensure that all equipment is maintained and in good working order. * Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Ensure that the storage area is kept clean and safe at all times. * Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions. Prepare reports as required by management. * Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure that materials and supplies are available when needed. Assist in the training of new staff members. Qualifications: * Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the oil and gas industry. * Strong organisational and time management skills. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred). * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
