As a CQS-accredited practice, we are continuing to expand our property department and are now looking for an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join our team in Didsbury, Manchester.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and experienced property professional who can manage their own caseload and support others within the team.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years PQE as a Solicitor, ILEX or CLC-qualified Licensed Conveyancer.
* Alternatively, 10+ years’ experience as a Conveyancer handling your own files.
* Strong experience handling a full range of residential conveyancing transactions including:
* Sales and purchases
* Remortgages
* Shared ownership
* Lease variations
* New builds
* Help to Buy
* Transfers of equity
* Ability to hit the ground running, work independently, and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
The Role
You will play a key role in our conveyancing team, managing varied transactions from start to finish and providing support to junior colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
* Handling a full caseload of residential property matters from instruction to post-completion
* Managing freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, equity release, and matrimonial transfers
* Reviewing titles, drafting contracts, raising and responding to enquiries
* Conducting property searches and ensuring accuracy of documentation
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors
* Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications
* Ensuring all transactions are legally compliant
* Staying up to date with changes in property law
* Supervising and mentoring conveyancing assistants
* Building strong client relationships and cross-referring work internally
Additional Responsibilities
* Providing cover for other offices when required
* Maintaining professionalism and courtesy with all staff and clients
* Adhering to firm policies, procedures, and departmental standards
* Delivering consistently high standards of legal service and file management
Position Details
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:15
* Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time
