About the Scottish Ambulance Service

Role Overview
GP Advisors work within the Integrated Clinical Hub, providing assessments for patients initially triaged as non‑immediate life threatening and offering further virtual consultation to deliver the right care at the right time.
Responsibilities
* Telephone triage and video consultations directly with patients.
* Prof‑2‑prof advice to staff on the ground.
* Determine outcomes ranging from self‑care (including remote prescription) to conveyance to ED and alternatives to admission for appropriate patients.
* Shift work across two Ambulance Control Centres and remote home working once confident.
Qualifications
* GP licensed to practice and listed on the Scottish Performers List.
* Provided GMP services in Scotland within the last 6 months.
* Experience in patient‑centred, value‑based care.
* Availability for daytime, evening and weekend shifts throughout the week.
Working Conditions
Pay will be discussed with interested parties. A services agreement is in place to reflect sessional (ad hoc) work.
