Junior Project Manager (Utility-Scale Solar/BESS) - London, UK

This opportunity is with a fast‑growing renewables developer delivering industrial and utility‑scale solar and battery storage projects across the UK and internationally.
With a strong pipeline and several early‑stage schemes already moving, they’re looking for a Junior Project Manager who can help take ownership of delivery from day one, while being offered all the support you’ll need to make this a success.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll manage the full lifecycle of solar/BESS projects, commercially, technically, and operationally, from contract signature through to commercial handover:
* Lead cross‑functional project teams (engineering, design, procurement, construction)
* Assisting with project coordination, planning, and reporting
* Manage EPC deliverables across design, procurement, and construction
* Chair project meetings, issue minutes, track actions, and maintain project governance
* Manage project finances, including invoice approvals and budget tracking
* Oversee contractual obligations, programme management, and risk mitigation
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Support continuous improvement across processes, templates, and best‑practice methods
* Contribute to a growing delivery team with opportunities to step into larger projects
What you’ll need
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience
* Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, PMI‑ACP) strongly preferred
* Around 6–12 months’ experience in a project environment (Solar PV & BESS ideal)
* Exposure to grid‑connected solar projects during construction
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments
* A proactive, positive attitude, they’re open to taking a chance on the right character!
