About the Role Business Loans Scotland is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Fund Administrator to support the Realisation Phase of our Fund operations. Reporting to the Fund Manager, you will play a key role in managing and streamlining administrative and financial processes, supporting effective governance, and ensuring performance targets are met during the final stages of the Fund’s lifecycle. Working Hours: Part Time Contract until June 2029, 3 Days Hybrid. Key Responsibilities Provide high-level administrative and financial support to the Fund Manager and Senior Officers. Lead on developing and implementing administrative and financial strategies aligned with the Realisation Phase. Manage day-to-day financial operations including loan repayment collections, payment processing, and financial reconciliations using Xero Accounting Software. Prepare quarterly and annual financial accounts; support audits with external auditors. Oversee debt management procedures including monitoring and recovering missed loan repayments. Coordinate financial reporting and audit requirements for the Board and Scottish Government. Maintain financial controls, process Direct Debits and BACS transactions accurately and in line with regulatory requirements. Manage budget planning, forecasting, and contribute to service improvement and innovation initiatives. Support the delivery of governance activities including Scottish Government verification visits. Promote strong partnerships with stakeholders including Member Authorities, Scottish Government, and external bodies. About You You’ll have: An SVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a relevant Business or Finance subject or demonstrable equivalent experience. Proven experience supporting stakeholders in a financial setting and working with complex systems. Strong knowledge of financial and administrative practices, including debt recovery and audit preparation. Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills. High attention to detail with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Desirable: A postgraduate qualification in Management or Finance. Experience with local government or economic development programmes. Understanding of public sector governance and external funding processes. Other Requirements Willingness to travel across East Ayrshire and beyond. Flexibility in working hours when required.
