Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent, 0.4FTE
Start Date: October 2025 or January 2026
GSL Education are seeking a well-qualified and passionate Teacher of Psychology to join a thriving Secondary School from October 2025 or January 2026. This is a part-time (0.4) position, ideal for an enthusiastic and inspiring educator with a strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in nurturing young minds.
Teacher of Psychology Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology to students at various levels.
* Employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Use assessment to inform teaching and support student progress.
* Develop and enhance teaching materials, resources, and activities to promote an enriched learning experience.
* Contribute to the wider academic and pastoral life of the school.
Teacher of Psychology Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject.
* Proven experience teaching Psychology at secondary levels.
* Passion for fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
* Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
