We have an exciting new opportunity for a Residential Children's Home Manager to be involved with the development of our new service. Our work environment includes: * Modern office setting * Food provided * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays * On site parking * Blue Light card We are seeking a dedicated Registered Children's Manager to oversee the care and well-being of children in our 3 bedroom children's home in Old Trafford. The ideal candidate will have a background in Residential Children's Cared and possess strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively. · To apply a comprehensive understanding of Child Vs Care’s policies and procedures to all aspects of employment and working practice. * To demonstrate a clear understanding of relevant legislation (Children’s Home Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015 and how these are reflected in daily working practice. * To develop the staff team’s knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and processes; leading, co-ordinating, and resolving safeguarding matters. * To respond quickly and appropriately to referrals in line with organisational requirements including matching processes, always aspiring to full occupancy levels. * To meet organisational Key Performance Indicators. · To lead and co-ordinate the development, implementation, and delivery of the young person’s Care Plan across the integrated services; communicating and setting goals, supporting practice development, and ensuring progress is monitored effectively. · To communicate effectively a child’s needs as identified in the Care Plan to other professionals, leading the care process. · To actively monitor all aspects service delivery for quality, standards and effectiveness using regulatory reporting mechanisms (Regulation 33/45/32/44). · To monitor that all recording, monitoring, and reporting systems are utilised correctly and to the highest standard. · Provide feedback, support, and direction to staff teams to ensure that the required quality and standard of service delivery is being met. * Take the lead in co-ordinating effectively with staff teams regulatory requirements to support the homes delivery of high-quality care. * Lead and oversee the supervision of young people in line with risk assessments to ensure that significant behaviours are noted and recorded, actively monitored by the staff team. · To monitor that records are accurate and up to date for young people in line with regulations. * To lead a comprehensive understanding of Therapeutic Parenting models in the care of young people and develop the practice in the home. * To provide leadership and guidance on decision making that is always in the best interests of the young people and the organisation. * To participate in clinical consultation as required, taking a lead in constructive and meaningful engagement with these processes. * To co-ordinate the training and lead the formal professional development of staff teams ensuring that learning is applied in the home and reflected in supervisions. * To provide leadership to ensure all domestic duties in the home are carried to the highest possible standard, role modelling this standard to others and challenging poor practice. * Lead the setting of high standards in homemaking and care for the fabric, equipment and grounds of the home and wider organisation, role modelling this standard to others and challenging poor practice. * To lead the strategic development of all aspects of the home, including a therapeutic homely environment - planning, organising, and delegating to others to assist this process. * To lead the development of a culture of mindfulness in relation to race, culture, language, and religion, to ensure that every young person is treated fairly and as an individual entitled to respect and dignity. * To recognise signs of distress or abuse, ensuring that the young people are monitored and protected, acting as a role model, providing direction to colleagues, actively monitor and provide feedback. · To co-ordinate and take the lead to ensure all relevant records related to fire safety, health & safety etc. are being actively monitored.
