People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Bristol.
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will receive the following benefits:

Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* Typical store deliveries (pallets or cages but they have said it’s kerb side deliveries
* Operate and drive various 7.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Will cover areas including Swindon, Gloucestershire, South Wales, Cornwall
* Some stores will be locked when they deliver, so they will need to unlock the building and deliver then lock up again etc
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence
* Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving C1 vehicles if under age 23 or six months if over age 23, for our client’s insurance purposes
* No more than three penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles
* Previous experience in multi drop experience
Training
* Driving assessment must be passed and this will involve practice and theory
* The assessment will include highway code, working time directive and bridge strikes
* The practical driving assessment will last approximately one hour
