Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager for a 6 Month contract based Remotely.
The Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead and contribute to the delivery of AI-driven solutions, particularly around prompt engineering, document analytics, and automation. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with project management responsibilities, ensuring successful delivery of reusable AI components that enhance production processes used by thousands of employees.
The candidate will oversee and contribute to projects involving the automation of data categorisation, metadata enrichment from large volumes of historical documents, and the development of plausibility statements and other text-based artefacts.
Project Management & Delivery
* Lead planning, execution, and delivery of AI initiatives, ensuring milestones, risks, and dependencies are managed.
* Act as the bridge between technical teams (engineers, analysts, architects) and business stakeholders.
* Ensure governance, quality assurance, and compliance standards are embedded across projects.
* Produce progress reports and manage stakeholder expectations at all levels.
Technical Contributions
* Hands-on experience designing, testing, and optimising prompts for AI language models (e.g., GPT, BERT).
* Familiarity with NLP techniques for classification, entity recognition, categorisation, and text generation.
* Develop and maintain reusable AI prompt components to automate and optimise business processes.
* Design and implement prompt engineering solutions to improve AI model interactions and output quality.
* Analyse large datasets and document repositories for automated categorisation and metadata enrichment.
* Work with data engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines underpin AI solutions.
* Iterate and refine text generation models to expand functionalities such as plausibility statements.
* Support testing, validation, and deployment of AI/ML solutions in production environments.
Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience:
* Proven track record managing AI/data projects in financial services or regulated environments.
* Strong knowledge of Agile delivery and governance frameworks
* Proficiency in analysing and transforming large datasets, with experience in metadata schemas.
* Knowledge of data pipelines, ingestion processes, and automated categorisation.
* Proficient in Python (with libraries such as Pandas, NLTK, spaCy) and APIs for AI models.
