Manufacturing Services Technician – Mechanical - 12 month contract
My client is a global defence and aerospace leader, and due to new business contacts, they seek a Maintenance Technician to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.
Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician include:
* Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks.
* Installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on mechanically biased machines.
* Perform alignment and geometry checks.
* Utilise hand tools and test equipment to meet customer requirements.
* Coordinate workload and mechanical activities with customers.
* Collaborate with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment.
* Adhere to control standards and procedures.
Experience and Skills Required:
* Must have completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
* Good understanding of maintenance operations and fault finding.
* Basic IT literacy and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
