We're working on behalf of a leading passive fire protection contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple live projects across South East London, primarily within the social housing sector.
They are currently seeking an experienced FRA Surveyor to join their technical team, focusing on Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Door/Compartmentation Surveys across occupied and void social housing stock.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a surveyor with a strong understanding of passive fire regulations who thrives in a site-based, client-facing environment and wants to make a tangible difference in resident safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Type 1 & 3 Fire Risk Assessments in accordance with the Fire Safety Order 2005 and PAS 79
Carry out fire door inspections, fire-stopping assessments, and compartmentation surveys
Write detailed and compliant FRA reports with clear photographic evidence and recommendations
Liaise directly with housing associations, local authorities, and residents to ensure clear communication
Provide technical advice to clients and project teams on remedial works
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant fire safety regulations and standardsCandidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments in the residential/social housing sector
Relevant FRA qualifications: NEBOSH Fire, FPA, IFSM, or IFE accreditation desirable
Strong understanding of passive fire protection measures (doors, intumescent products, fire barriers)
Ability to use FRA software (e.g., Bolster, OneTrace, or similar)
Full UK driving licence - travel across the South East is required
