An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a permanent Specialist Biomedical Scientist within the North Glasgow Haematology & Blood Transfusion Department. The successful applicant will be required after suitable training to work a 24/7 shift over 7 days, across all 3 sites of North Glasgow (GRI, GGH and Stobhill ACH).
Minimum Qualifications For The Posts Are Outlined Below
* Must have an appropriate BSc Honours degree or equivalent, acceptable for Health Professions Council Registration.
* Must be registered to practice as a Biomedical Scientist with the HCPC.
* Must have post registration experience in a Haematology/Transfusion laboratory.
* Candidates should hold a Specialist Certificate in Haematology/Hospital Transfusion Practice but consideration will be given to candidates who have not yet obtained the certificate and they will be employed on Annexe 21 of Band 6.
