Key Responsibilities:&x2022; Act as the technical link between engineering teams and suppliers to ensure component manufacturability and compliance with design and quality requirements.&x2022; Conduct regular supplier visits across the UK and occasionally Europe to support technical issue resolution, process improvements, and performance management.&x2022; Work closely with Quality to lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement at supplier sites.&x2022; Apply APQP, PFMEA, and PPAP frameworks to define production processes and uphold product quality from the outset.&x2022; Collaborate with Procurement to integrate technical considerations into supplier selection and strategic sourcing decisions.&x2022; Participate in cross-functional reviews relating to design changes, risk mitigation, and supply chain readiness.&x2022; Travel is a key part of the role &x2013; approximately 90 within the UK and 10 to suppliers outside the UK. About You:&x2022; Experience in manufacturing engineering, supply chain, or technical procurement within high-integrity sectors e.g. defence, aerospace, marine, or advanced manufacturing.&x2022; Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering or equivalent.&x2022; Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, PCBAs, coatings, welding, NDT, or composites.&x2022; Confident interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.&x2022; Skilled in supplier relationship management and effective at influencing stakeholders at all levels.&x2022; Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems and engineering documentation.&x2022; Must be eligible to obtain relevant UK security clearance.
