Are you a visionary regeneration leader ready to lead one of the UK's most ambitious estate transformation programmes?
We are seeking a Head of Regeneration and Major Projects to lead the planning and delivery of large-scale regeneration and complex development programmes across the South Region. Your initial priority will be the Basingstoke West Regeneration comprising over 4,600 homes, with our organisation owning approximately 50% of the stock.
This project represents one of the UK's largest and most impactful regeneration opportunities. The successful candidate will provide strategic, commercial, and operational leadership across all elements of the programme. The successful applicant will be driving forward a transformational vision with a robust socio-economic agenda, while aligning the programme with design excellence, community priorities, and long-term sustainability.
You'll act as the day-to-day lead on this flagship project, working across a cross-functional matrix structure that includes internal development teams and wider directorates. You will also lead engagement with the local authority (Basingstoke & Deane Council, Hampshire County Council), local communities, and private sector partners, including a proposed investment partnership with The Hill Group.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Basingstoke West Regeneration Programme, ensuring coherent delivery across workstreams such as masterplanning, community engagement, land assembly, and delivery partnerships.
* Set a clear vision and delivery strategy for Buckskin and South Ham that aligns with our placemaking and socio-economic goals.
* Manage complex stakeholder relationships and joint ventures, including senior interactions with council officers, councillors, and development partners.
* Oversee effective governance, risk, financial controls, and programme management, ensuring project milestones are met.
* Represent the project internally and externally, championing its vision to boards, committees, residents, and strategic partners.
Qualifications
* A proven track record in large-scale estate regeneration, housing-led mixed-use development, or complex urban renewal.
* Experience in working at senior levels with local authorities, developers, and community stakeholders.
* Strong programme and budget management skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
* A passion for placemaking and delivering genuine long-term socio-economic value.
