We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have experience working with hand and power tools. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on various vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met. This role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Inspect, install, and repair tyres on a variety of vehicles including cars, vans, and lorries.
* Perform wheel alignments and balancing to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
* Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Assist customers with tyre selection and provide recommendations based on their needs.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems related to tyres.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, jacks, and tyre changers.
* Experience with power tools including impact wrenches and air compressors.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
