We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic digital transformation projects across the Fred. Olsen group, with a key focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Finance, and People systems.
This hands‑on delivery role is responsible for managing complex, cross‑functional business and technology change. You will deliver projects to agreed time, cost and quality standards, ensuring benefits are realized and outcomes align with business strategy, security requirements and regulatory expectations.
You will work across multiple business functions, technology teams and external partners, providing strong governance, stakeholder management and leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Delivery
o Deliver strategic transformation projects across ERP, Finance and People systems within the Fred. Olsen group.
o Lead corporate services change initiatives including Natural Power ERP Transformation, Group People Systems Transformation and Group Finance Transformation.
o Manage complex business and IT projects independently or as part of a broader programme of work.
* Planning & Governance
o Define project scope, objectives, benefits, success criteria and delivery approach with senior stakeholders.
o Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, resource plans, risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
o Apply the most suitable delivery methodology (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid) based on project context.
o Establish and run governance forums (steering groups, working groups), ensuring clear reporting and escalation.
* Cross‑Functional Leadership
o Work closely with Finance, HR, IT and business operations to ensure process, data and organisational change impacts are fully understood and addressed.
o Lead multi‑disciplinary project teams of BAs, Process Analysts, Solution Architects, Testers, SMEs and business stakeholders.
o Manage third‑party providers, integrators and implementation partners to ensure successful delivery and contract compliance.
* Business Change & Technology Enablement
o Oversee change management activities, including communications, training and business readiness.
o Ensure successful execution of data migration, integration, testing, cutover and transition‑to‑BAU activities.
o Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery standards and best practices with the Head of Delivery.
o Deliver medium‑to‑large scale business and IT transformation projects, including ERP, HRMS and Finance system implementations.
o Manage MS Dynamics 365 (ERP/CRM) programmes – initial focus area.
o Utilise Agile (Scrum, Kanban, iterative delivery) and Waterfall, justifying hybrid approaches as needed.
o Demonstrated experience in project budgeting, business cases and vendor contracts.
o Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation and conflict‑resolution skills.
* Qualifications & Experience
o Hands‑on experience delivering ERP, HRMS and Finance system implementations, including core finance, procurement and project accounting.
o Experience with HR/People systems such as HiBob or BambooHR.
o Background in consultancy or the energy/renewables sector.
