Job Title: Commercial Manager (M&E)
Location: London
Salary: £95,000 - £100,000 Per Annum + Competitive Package
The Role
* Take commercial ownership of mechanical and electrical packages, typically valued up to circa £10m
* Manage and control the commercial aspects of defined M&E scopes of work
* Carry out full construction take-offs and prepare detailed cost plans
* Produce fully priced bills of quantities including labour hours and material costs
* Measure from drawings and isometrics in line with NRM2 requirements and procedures
* Track project costs, labour spend, and labour efficiency throughout the project lifecycle
* Monitor project hours spent versus earned schedules
* Produce monthly cash flow forecasts
* Prepare assessments, payment certificates, and pay-less notices for subcontractors in line with the Construction Act
* Manage the timing and agreement of monthly valuations and certifications
* Prepare subcontract procurement packages and agree subcontract terms
* Manage subcontractors commercially through to final account
* Ensure final accounts are agreed within agreed project timelines
* Present take-offs and commercial data in a clear and coherent format
* Act as a proactive team player with a professional and diligent approach

The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in an M&E Quantity Surveying role
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical packages (circa £10m advantageous)
* Detailed knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles and practices
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to maximise value and control costs
* Sound understanding of subcontract procurement and monthly commercial cycles
* Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems
* Actively working towards or interested in developing relevant RICS competencies
* Proactive attitude to learning and continuous improvement
