Job Description:
You will be one of 3 H&S Managers and your region will be to look after 70 sites across Essex and East Surrey. You will report into Group Head of Health and Safety.

Working with the Head of Health & Safety, you will develop, implement, and monitor health and safety initiatives to create a secure and compliant environment for colleagues and residents.

Duties and Responsibilities as Health and Safety Manager:
1. Develop, review, and implement health and safety policies and procedures following relevant legislation and industry best practices.
2. Ensure that the company complies with all health and safety regulations and standards by conducting regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
3. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and provide recommendations to the management team for risk mitigation. Ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
4. Work together with our L&D department to provide training on Health & Safety and Fire Safety related topics.
5. Deliver health and safety training to employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders in line with changing regulations.
6. Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents and implement preventive measures. Keep accurate records of incidents and near misses.
7. Develop and implement comprehensive fire safety plans, including evacuation procedures and emergency response strategies.
8. Develop and oversee emergency response plans, ensuring that all colleagues are adequately trained.
9. Collaborate with internal teams to promote a safety culture and provide guidance and support on health and safety matters.
10. Drive continuous improvement in health and safety by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing proactive measures.
11. Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities, stay informed about changes in legislation, and ensure the company's ongoing compliance.
Skills and Experience Required:
