Infrastructure Lead – Private Equity Carve‑Out Transformation

We are looking for an exceptional Infrastructure Lead to drive a major Private Equity carve‑out transformation, building the complete infrastructure foundation for a newly standalone organisation. This is a rare opportunity to shape a greenfield technology environment, influence enterprise‑wide decisions, and steer large‑scale delivery across multiple partners and system integrators.
About the Role
As the Infrastructure Lead, you will define, architect, and oversee the delivery of the target-state infrastructure spanning cloud, identity, networking, end‑user computing, and security.
Working closely with architecture teams, programme leadership, and system integrators, you’ll play a hands-on assurance and governance role—maintaining architectural integrity, managing risks, and ensuring robust, secure, scalable infrastructure delivery that aligns with programme timelines.
Knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, M365, Dynamics 365) will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture & Strategy
* Define and own the target infrastructure architecture for a secure, scalable, cloud‑first environment.
* Ensure robust support for core applications, IAM, networking, EUC, and future growth.
* Align infrastructure decisions with the broader Microsoft technology stack.
User, Identity & Device Migration
* Oversee migration of users, devices, and services into the new organisation.
* Guide Entra ID / AD migrations, email/domain transitions, and device rebuild/re‑imaging strategies.
* Establish the new identity and endpoint management framework.
System Integrator Governance & Delivery Assurance
* Provide senior steering, assurance, and oversight across all SI‑delivered infrastructure services.
* Review and challenge solution designs, delivery roadmaps, and risk positions.
* Maintain architectural integrity, resilience, and alignment with programme objectives.
Cybersecurity Oversight
* Work with the security workstream to ensure compliance, secure design, and proactive risk management.
* Support identity, endpoint, and network security implementation.
Cross‑Programme Collaboration
* Work with ERP, app, integration, and architecture teams to ensure infrastructure alignment.
* Leverage knowledge of Dynamics 365 environments to ensure platform readiness.
Experience & Skills Required
* Strong background in Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, or Enterprise Architecture.
* Proven experience in complex infrastructure transformations.
* Experience in Private Equity carve‑outs, divestitures, or large‑scale separations.
* Strong track record in governing system integrators.
* Broad technical expertise across:
* Azure / cloud platforms
* Identity and access management
* Networking
* End‑user computing
* Cybersecurity fundamentals
