Job Title: Tool MakerAbout the Role We are looking for a skilled and experienced Tool Maker to join our engineering/manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of precision tooling, including moulds, dies, jigs, and fixtures, ensuring optimal performance to support production operations.Key Responsibilities Manufacture, assemble, and fit precision tools, dies, moulds, jigs, and fixturesCarry out tool repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenanceOperate a range of manual and CNC machinery (milling, turning, grinding, EDM, etc.)Interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical specificationsConduct fault finding and problem-solving on tooling issuesEnsure all tooling meets required tolerances and quality standardsWork closely with production and design teams to improve tooling performanceMaintain accurate records of work carried outAdhere to all health & safety and company proceduresRequirements Proven experience as a Tool Maker / Tool & Die MakerStrong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling processesAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawingsExperience with manual machining (lathe, mill, surface grinder, etc.)Familiarity with CNC machinery and EDM (desirable but not essential)High level of attention to detail and precisionStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable Skills Experience in injection moulding or press tooling environmentsKnowledge of CAD/CAM softwareExperience working with tight tolerances and high-precision componentsTPBN1_UKTJ
