Overview
A leading international professional services firm is looking to hire experienced professionals to join a specialist advisory team supporting insurance organisations undergoing regulatory, structural and strategic change.
The team works with insurers across the UK and Europe on complex projects involving regulatory approvals, legal entity restructuring, and operational readiness for newly established or reorganised insurance businesses.
This role would suit candidates with strong insurance regulatory, restructuring, or transformation experience gained within consulting, a regulatory body, or within the insurance industry itself.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering large and complex projects for insurance clients, supporting regulatory change, organisational restructuring and strategic transformation programmes.
Typical engagements may include:
* Supporting insurers in establishing new regulated entities or branches within the UK or European markets.
* Advising on legal entity restructuring initiatives, including mergers, reorganisations and business transfers.
* Assisting with regulatory approval processes and preparation of documentation required for supervisory authorities.
* Supporting insurers undergoing M&A activity, including regulatory due diligence and post-transaction integration planning.
* Designing target operating models and implementation plans for newly structured or restructured insurance businesses.
* Coordinating cross‑functional specialists across areas such as regulatory compliance, finance, tax, operations, technology and actuarial.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead workstreams within large transformation or regulatory change programmes.
* Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
* Oversee project delivery including planning, resourcing, budgeting and quality of deliverables.
* Work closely with multi‑disciplinary teams across different jurisdictions.
* Contribute to proposals and support the development of new client opportunities.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across the practice.
Candidate Profile
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Insurance regulatory advisory or supervisory engagement.
* Establishment of regulated insurance entities, branches or licences.
* Corporate restructuring within the insurance sector.
* Regulatory aspects of insurance mergers, acquisitions or business transfers.
* Large transformation programmes impacting insurance operating models or governance structures.
Successful candidates will typically demonstrate:
* Strong understanding of insurance regulation, governance and risk management frameworks.
* Proven project management and programme delivery experience.
* Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
