Overview
Site Agent - Digital Infrastructure, Farnborough. Galliford Try invites applications for a Site Agent to join the team within our Digital Infrastructure Business. You will take full responsibility for production functions on security projects of typical value between £1m-£8m from award through to completion, while maintaining quality of service and profitability.
Responsibilities
* Work with a regional team and report to the project manager in delivering several sites on a national basis.
* Ensure compliance with the appropriate approved standards.
* Liaise effectively with the Client, Designer, and relevant sub-contractors at site level, reporting into the regional Project Manager.
* Communicate effectively and supervise approved sub-contractors during their works.
* Maintain accurate site records.
* Ensure that the approved method of working and quality of works meet the required standards.
* Ensure site works are secure and that security details are not compromised to uphold Galliford Try’s reputation.
* Issue and control permits to work and implement safe working practices with a zero-harm culture.
* Deliver constructed works within defined timescales and costs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
* Adhere to and maintain Galliford Try business management systems.
* Demonstrate on-site management, approve risk assessments and method statements, solve problems, negotiate as needed, and implement business management systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
* The individual must be a strong team member with a solid understanding of general civil engineering works and a focus on health and safety.
* Experience in the construction industry and knowledge of relevant security standards.
* Candidates must be willing to undertake security clearance to SC level as a minimum.
* Previous MOD project experience is preferable but not essential.
* Strong working relationships with clients and civils sub-contractors, including surveying and investigation activities, perimeter fencing contractors, drainage and ducting installation, reinforced concrete bases, general excavation works, utilities location and safe digging practices, and ground investigation.
* Interest in integrated security management solutions.
* A strong team player willing to travel and be flexible to deliver and support works.
