Our client are lookig for an Intermediate M&E QS. Not a Junior as such, but more of an intermediate QS who has been in construction for at least 3-4 years and therefore has experience in the day-to-day commercials. Whilst training and learning our clients way of working will be a natural progression as they grow with the business, they are looking for someone who we can confidently give a project to, for them to look after commercially, and they will instinctively know the commercial tasks that are required, without having to be told. Although, they do not expect you to know everything, and they expect them to ask questions if they are unsure about something.
* The ideal candidate would be electrically biased or have a good understanding of electrical small power & lighting, Submains, LV and HV installations.
* The ideal candidate would have spent time working on the tools, although this is not essential.
* Not essential but Data Centre experience would be preferable.
* The ideal candidate should be confident and have good communication skills.
* A significant portion of our work is based in Mainland Europe and the Nordics; therefore, infrequent site visits may be required when necessary. The ideal candidate would therefore need to be willing to travel and work away. This is usually only required for important / necessary meetings on site and will be one or two nights away. Travel and accommodation are provided by our client.
